Description:
The Garden Coordinator is responsible for working with the Director of the Garth and Jerri Frehner Museum of Natural History to coordinate the design and construction of native plant gardens as envisioned by the Museum, the Southwest Wildlife Foundation, and the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah. The coordinator will arrange meetings, source supplies for gardens, and help design interpretative signage related to culturally important native plants, pollinator friendly gardening, and drought tolerant landscaping. The coordinator may also help design garden related curriculum and educational tours.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have at least one of the following characteristics:
- A genuine interest in plants,
- Experience with Paiute or Native American cultures, and
- An interest in gardening, education, interpretation, working outdoors, or native pollinators.
