Description:

SUU’s Aviation Department is seeking a persuasive writer to help create online content. This content will be used to persuade aviation students to attend SUU and the visibility of your work will be high. You will gain real-world marketing experience and will be able to track the results and success of your assignments. Your role will substantially impact the university and lead to students attending SUU’s Aviation programs. Any student with skills in marketing is welcome to apply, but an aviation background is preferred.

Duties Include:

  • Produce written content weekly, assigned by the supervisor
  • Write copy for Aviation web pages
  • Write email marketing copy
  • Write copy for Aviation department in general
  • Work independently
  • Report to the Aviation Marketing Supervisor
  • Various special marketing projects
  • The ability to represent the University in a professional, positive light
  • Continual education on copywriting and persuasive marketing

Qualifications:

  • Honest
  • Personable
  • Persuasive writer
  • Willing to learn

Strongly Preferred qualifications:

  • Aviation student
  • Study or experience in marketing, communications, English, or other related fields.
  • A track record of self-taught or proactive learning
  • Knowledge of SEO
  • Familiarity with social media and sales funnels
  • Strong desire to read and learn the skill of persuasive writing
