Description:

The primary focus of this position is to provide assistance and customer service to the students, faculty, staff and general public who utilize the services offered by Student Involvement and Leadership. Serves as the information center for Student Involvement and Leadership. Greets visitors to the office, answers telephone and e-mail requests, approves materials for posting, and fields questions. Schedules student appointments. Process Photo Identification card (T-card) including some troubleshooting of equipment. Completes some departmental word processing, forms, and schedules through computer programs. Works with SUUSA/STIL leaders in fielding questions and educating about T-Bird Connection. Processes and sorts mail and files office information. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Requires a wide array of interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills required. Ability to deal with the public and college-age students in a fast-paced environment. Experience using, and knowledge of, computer software and graphic design programs including the ability to quickly learn new software programs. Must be proficient in spelling and grammatical use of the English language. Mature, pleasing personality, and the ability to work cooperatively with students, campus personnel, and the public. A high level of energy/creativity is necessary. Dependable, punctual, professional in appearance and ability to communicate are necessary attributes. Knowledge and experiencing with typing, record keeping and general administrative practices and procedures helpful.
