Description:

THIS INTERNSHIP IS BASED AT BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK Bryce Canyon National Park’s Division of Interpretation and Visitor Services is seeking a highly motivated, hard-working and personable student with an interest in pursuing a career with the National Park Service for a 10-week internship starting Jan. 7, 2019 and lasting until March 15, 2019. Ideally, students majoring in Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation, Geology, other natural sciences or Interpretation would benefit the most, but we’ll accept applications from any student who has skills in good communication, public speaking, and customer service. If selected, a background investigation will be required before beginning work.

Qualifications:

  • Experience public speaking
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Interest in natural and culture resources and the desire to teach others about Bryce Canyon

Duties:

  • Provide Visitor Orientation and assistance at the Bryce Canyon National Park Visitor Center.
  • With assistance, research and develop 20 minute Bryce Canyon Geology Interpretive Talk.
  • Research, develop, and lead snowshoe hikes and walks in Bryce Canyon National Park.
