Description:
Tutors help students understand course material, review for tests, and develop study skills and test-taking strategies. Tutors bring experience, expertise, and enthusiasm to studying and are recommended by SUU faculty.
Nearly 80% of tutoring requests are for math and chemistry. Therefore, math and chemistry tutors are primarily needed at this time. Other subjects served include economics, accounting, biology, physics, nutrition, psychology, history, and more.
Tutors assist students in the Tutoring Center (ELC 204) with walk-in and scheduled one-on-one tutoring. Small group tutoring is also offered through Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL) Groups which are held in SUU classrooms.
Work hours are around classes.
Visit www.suu.edu/tutoring to learn more about the Tutoring Center.
