Description:

The Summer Housekeeper is an integral part of the Summer Conference operation. The Summer Housekeepers work together to prepare the residential rooms and other spaces in Housing for Conference guests. Housekeeping tasks include but are not limited to: deep cleaning, linen distribution, and general preparation of buildings for Summer Conferences. Housekeepers must attend training and required staff meetings, deep clean apartments at the beginning and end of summer business, clean carpets with carpet cleaning machine, move furniture as needed, clean apartments and make up beds before guests arrive and after they depart.

Qualifications:

The requirements for this position are not compatible with summer classes. Therefore, preference in hiring will be given to students who are not taking summer classes (on-line classes taken on one's own time are okay). Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled as a student at SUU.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be physically able to perform housekeeping tasks, which include moving furniture for long periods of time.
  • Exhibit a solid work ethic.
  • Be able to work professionally with others.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently of a supervisor.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Positive attitude about Southern Utah University.
  • Integrity, responsibility, accountability, organization, time management skills.
  • Availability to work the entire summer contract: July 15, 2019 to August 17, 2019
