Description:

Student will provide front desk support in the Academic Advising/Career Center and Vice President for Student Affairs office by answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking students in for appointments, greeting and assisting students, staff, faculty and other visitors on campus. Student worker will need to perform administrative duties including photocopying, helping with TTQ organization, answer registration questions and assist with other tasks as needed including keeping front lobby neat. Hours will be determined based on your class schedule and obligations.
*Please indicate your available hours for fall semester as this will be a large factor to fit around student workers that are already employed in the office for fall.

Qualifications:

  1. Good communication and interpersonal skills and phone etiquette.
  2. Must be able to understand and respect the need for confidentiality.
  3. Must be dependable, reliable, and be on-time for designated work shifts.
  4. Must be responsible, mature, neat in appearance and have a congenial personality.
  5. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work independently while completing assigned projects.
  6. Must be able to be pleasant and function calmly in a high-paced, busy environment with multiple phone lines and a steady flow of students checking in for appointments.
  7. Knowledge of MS Word, G-mail and Google docs & sheets is preferred.
