Description:

Help with classroom instructional activities for Math 0950, 0970, and 0990 once or twice per week. Tutor Math 0950, 0970, and 0990 students (and others as able to) in the tutoring center. Run both in-class and out-of-class review sessions as needed. Help grade assignments and/or quizzes. Possibly substitute for teacher when needed. Work closely with Developmental Math Teachers to meet the needs of their students.

Qualifications:

Strong math skills and minimum overall A grade in Math 1050. (Interview includes a math test!) Love for math and for helping others understand math concepts. Overall GPA of 3.5. Flexible schedule, strong people skills, strong study skills, compassion, and patience. Preferred: Math or Math Education Major/Minor
