Description:

Interns will work with SUU Outdoor Recreation faculty to collect visitor use data at Bryce Canyon National Park. Data collection will focus on administering surveys to park visitors. Other data collection opportunities may be available depending on student interest. Interns will work in varied environments in the park with weather conditions that can rapidly change. Camping in the park will be provided. A vehicle will be provided, or mileage will be reimbursed.

Position Responsibilities

Contact visitors at Bryce Canyon National Park and administer a visitor experience survey. Training will be provided.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting
  • Comfortable approaching and speaking to visitors in a National Park setting
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Capable of working independently on assignments with minimal supervision
  • Willing to work outdoors for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Hold a valid driver license and eligible to drive SUU vehicles
