Description:

Thunderworks, SUU’s Makerspace, is looking to hire a student videographer/video editor for the Fall 2019 semester. This position and will focus on the creation of several training and safety videos that will be used in a Canvas shell. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, creative problem solver who is able to create, edit and output professional-quality video. This position will have little oversight so students must be able to problem-solve and make decisions on their own in order to meet strict deadlines.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Ability to produce high-quality video
  • Demonstrate understanding of lighting for inside environments
  • Demonstrate the ability to capture and edit high-quality sound
  • Ability to edit high-quality videos
  • Technical acuity for post-production
  • Ability to export video for web-based playback

Preferred qualifications:

  • Canvas shell experience
  • SUU Website experience
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Graphic design experience including typography and branding
  • Familiarity with hand tools, metal and/or metal shop tools a big plus.
  • Motion graphics experience is a huge plus.
