Description:

The House Manager plays a vital role within the division of Guest Services. He/She is responsible for overseeing events scheduled on campus, outside of regular business hours, under the supervision of Guest Services. This individual will work closely with Guest Services staff, including event coordinators, and Centralized Scheduling assistants. The House Manager is responsible for providing quality customer service during events (after 5p Monday -Friday), and anytime on weekends, including some Sundays, and campus holidays.

Direct responsibilities include, but are not limited to: explain, interpret, and enforce general scheduling and facilities policy and procedures; provide for the safety and security of events and event patrons; and provide a high level of customer service to all guests and visitors to campus. Position requires a flexible work schedule and must be able to work early mornings, nights, weekends (including some Sundays), and some holidays, including those when school is not being held, but campus remains open, as needed. Work schedule changes weekly, based on scheduled events and will vary from week to week.

Qualifications:

Successful candidate must have strong customer service skills, and be personable. Must be able to problem solve under pressure. Must be able to get along well with others, and take direction from supervisors and event coordinators. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Proficient in email and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Must have flexible evening and weekend schedule.
