Description:

A Graduate Admissions Assistant provides inspiring and compassionate recruitment and mentorship to potential and current graduate students seeking to complete or further their education. This assistant will help recruit and work with potential master's students to apply and enroll in master's programs, specifically the Master's of Interdisciplinary Studies, the Master's of Professional Communication, and the Master's of Arts Administration. This is a fun environment that is easy to fit into. This position requires people skills and quick thinking. Additionally, you should be able to answers questions or find answers to questions quickly. Be prepared to get creative to find projects and ways of contacting people to come to the program. There's also a lot of ways to move up and around in the department, so this is a great place to start.

Qualifications:

Qualification 1. Current SUU student 2. Able to work on campus 3. A passion for engaging prospective students through email/phone 4. Ability to work 18-20 hours per week

Experience 1. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively. 2. Customer service or advising experience entailing one on one interaction is highly preferred. 3. Must possess a high level of interpersonal and communication skills to accurately convey University information as described above. 4. Must be self-motivated and be able to work effectively in a team environment. 5. Proficient with computer/communications technology including cloud-served tools, and so forth.
