Description:

The Human Resources Technical Assistant will support the HR department by assisting as a technical point of contact for the various functions of the office. Job duties:

Assist HRIS Analyst in reporting functions primarily using Oracle Structured Query Language (SQL) including:

  • Generation of ad hoc reports requested by various sources both on and off campus
  • Maintenance of previously generated reports.
  • Combining multiple queries using SQL or Excel's advanced functions (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS etc..)

Support process improvement and automation efforts of the office by:

  • Cross-train with other positions to understand their duties and needs
  • Research new technologies
  • Consult software documentation
  • Monitor and correct data inconsistencies

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with SQL programming language
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel
  • Ability to break down complex processes and improve them
  • Willing to learn new technologies
  • Ability to work in a Team setting
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Willing to assist the front desk by acting as the first point of contact for guests
