Description:

Tutor struggling students at local elementary schools for approximately 11 hours per week during the regular school day (9:00 am-3:00 pm). This is under the direction of the individual school reading specialists. This is a work study only paid job. Please check with the Financial Aid office to make sure you qualify for work study before applying.

Qualifications:

Interested applicants must clear a full Utah State Board of Education FBI background check. They should be good readers and have an ability to work with struggling readers in public schools. Preference will be given to previous employees and elementary education majors. Must have a 3.0 or higher cum GPA. Only those committed to working the full 30+ hours per semester need apply--students and reading specialists count on your hlep. Students in the Elementary Block or Student Teaching/internships cannot fill the commitment for this job.
