Description:

Writing Center/Writing Fellow Intern for Assessment and Certification will assist the writing center director with data processing and evaluation over the past five years, as well as preparing and submitting SUU Writing Center's application for the international College of Reading and Language Association's International Tutor Training Tutoring Program.

Duties:

  • Gather and Assess data from student and faculty evaluation for the past five years
  • Transfer information from hard copies of documents to spreadsheets for analysis
  • Set up online evaluation forms for future semesters
  • Gather and create required documents for CRLA certification
  • Assist Dr. Combs with matching English 3890 (Tutor Training Course) outcomes with CRLA certification requirements
  • Other duties as directed

Qualifications:

  • Skills with computer spreadsheets
  • Strong writing skills ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with writing center theory
  • Experience working at the writing center is preferred
