Description:

In spring 2020, Dr. Bryan Koenig has been producing and publishing lecture videos -- as open educational resources (OERs) -- for his statistics course. Now he is seeking student interns to work over the summer to further develop this course by generating (a) more open-educational resources and (b) materials for course gamification. OER resources include a course web page, practice assignments, and problem walk throughs. Gamification materials include a game theme design, assignments modified to fit the theme, and gamification mechanisms (e.g,. leader boards, leveling systems, point systems, badges).

This position would begin around May 13, 2020 and end around Sept 11, 2020.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: You must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credits for summer semester 2020. These courses must be face to face; online courses will not count and any internship credits that you are enrolled in will not count toward the 3 credits of face-to-face instruction. If your registration falls below 3 credits or if you withdraw from your face-to-face course, the funding for your position may be terminated. The money for their position is contingent upon being enrolled in 3 credits, delivered face-to-face.

Preferred Qualifications: have taken and passed a statistics course, have experience with course gamification, have experience with computers
