Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:00 pm Start Date: 4/27/2020 End Date: 8/19/2020

Overview: The IIC is seeking a Digital Media Specialist to help design and implement the IIC’s digital media plans and strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with IIC Staff to lead digital marketing efforts. The internship will consist of capturing media and digital content, and office work editing and updating digital marketing material. Traveling to unique locations on regional public lands (e.g. National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, US Forest Service) will be required to acquire the material.

Responsibilities: - Capture and edit video presentations - Capture and edit photos for digital marketing - Maintain and manage social media platforms and content (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube) - Assist interns in Digital Showcase assignments - Design and write well-organized press releases - Implement new recruiting and marketing techniques - Coordinate with SUU’s marketing department

Qualifications:

  • Available up to 40 hours a week from April 27-Sept 11, 2020
  • Must currently be enrolled at SUU in at least 3 face-to-face credits in a related field during the summer semester
  • Understanding of social media networks and concepts
  • Basic competency in Adobe, photoshop, video production, digital media
