Description:

The Guest Service Coordinator will assist with the administrative functions in taking reservations for the SUU Mountain Center, within the Outdoor Engagement Center, to insure quality experiences for campus and public guests using the "cabin". To accomplish this, the Guest Services Coordinator will:

  • Coordinate, respond, and communicate with Mountain Center guests regarding reservations and activities.
  • Create and processes estimates and other paperwork for reservations. This includes interacting with and providing the cleaning instructions for guests.
  • Work with administrative staff and cabin caretaker to check in and check out Mountain Center guests.
  • On occasion drive to the Mountain Center to show the facility to prospective guests.
  • Create public relations social media, and marketing materials for OEC functions and activities.
  • Update OEC websites and social media sites.
  • Offers and creates opportunities for quality customer service.
  • Assists, as needed and as qualified, with OEC trainings and outings.

Qualifications:

Successful applicants will have:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • An interest in customer service and outdoor engagement.
  • A positive, “Can do” attitude and willing to take initiative.
  • Transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Basic accounting skills and experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic understanding and experience with website maintenance and social media outlets.
  • On occasion, be able to perform basic cleaning and lift up to 50 pounds.
