Description:

The Disability Resource Center is looking for Students to joint our team of student office assistants. Office Assistants provide administrative and clerical support to the Disability Support Stafff. Office assistants will be expected to perform the following duties:

  1. Provide Administrative and Clerical Support to the DRC Staff.
  2. Monitor, respond, and record emails sent and received by the DRC Gmail account.
  3. Provide proctoring services. This includes the processing and facilitating of accommodations for the exams administered by the DRC.
  4. Assist in the creation of tables, charts, graphs, and reports as requested by the DRC Staff.
  5. Assist in the daily management of the DRC CRM system. This includes reviewing case notes and student accommodations.
  6. Communicate with faculty, Staff, and students via phone, email or text in order to ensure accommodations are appropriately provided.
  7. Process incoming accommodation requests and documenting actions via case notes or office log.
  8. Provide quality support. This includes greeting visitors and appropriately directing them to the team member best suited to serve them.
  9. Assist in the organization, scheduling, and facilitating of DRC Staff meetings, appointments, and exam proctoring.
  10. Assist the DRC Staff with auxiliary tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the following Qualifications in order to be considered for this position:

  1. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Able to provide friendly and quality support while under duress or while in a stressful situation.
  3. Maintain a 3.5 GPA or better while employed with the DRC
  4. Strong Application skills. Primarily Microsoft Office and Google Drive Software.
  5. Strong organization and record keeping skills.
  6. Ability to adapt to ever changing procedures and policies.
  7. Able to show genuine desire to support others, especially those with disabilities.
  8. Strong Multitasking Skills.
  9. Ability to follow FERPA, Title 9, and other policies. This includes but is not limited to academic integrity policies.
  10. Ability to use a printer and Scanner. This includes scanning documents and uploading them into database or storage drive.
