Description:

This position requires an outgoing student with great communication, the ability to multitask, and problem solve. Responsibilities include but are limited to:

  • Develop and implement trainings/presentations/programs promoting a culture of wellness to students, faculty, and staff; collaborate with other campus departments as needed. Programming will be conducted through the Department of Recreation and Wellness.
  • Assist students in locating the proper resources to address any health and wellness concerns including; mental health, physical health, substance abuse, sexual health choices, and managing stress.
  • Helping with other daily tasks.
  • Work up to a combined total of 250 hours throughout fall 2021 and spring 2022 semesters.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently, follow-up on assignments, and take initiative.
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and promotion of Recreation and Wellness campus-wide programs, including but not limited to; stress, alcohol and other drugs, sexual health, fitness, healthy eating, sexualized assault and dating violence, and tobacco cessation (e.g., health fairs, alcohol awareness week, etc.).
  • Demonstrate ability to assist students on a variety of holistic health and wellness concerns.
  • Excellent skills in facilitation, education, and communication.
  • Interest in health and wellness.
  • Responsible, organized, and timely
