Description:

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual to help support the mission and goals of our graduate program. The MPA Graduate Assistant will provide support through various clerical duties, communications, development of marketing materials, recruitment events, overseeing and maintaining the MPA website and social media, and organizing student activities for the MPA honor society (Pi Alpha Alpha), helping to plan events, taking minutes during meetings, and related duties.

Qualifications:

  • Current MPA student with minimum 3.7 GPA
  • Organizational skills to coordinate multiple projects at the same time
  • History of dependability, reliability, and initiative
  • Ability to effectively complete projects and work independently
  • Demonstrate computer knowledge in office software applications
  • Interpersonal skills to relate to a diverse group of constituents
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media sites and marketing
  • Confidence in managing and reviewing data
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments and organizations across campus
