Description:

The SUU College of Engineering and Computational Sciences (ECS) is seeking a computer science or cybersecurity major to assist in marketing CSIS programs to prospective majors.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to emails and phone calls from prospective CSIS students. - You must be able and willing to share information about our programs, provide guidance and assistance to potential students on matters related to enrollment and the admissions process.
  • Attending SUU Red Riots and area college fairs (3-4 per academic year) for high school students to inform prospective students about your major and additional CSIS degree options.
  • Attending local elementary and middle school STEAM Nights (9-10 per academic year) to present fun CSIS-related activities to students and help the students and their parents understand what options are available to students who enjoy computers.
  • Working with the ECS Marketing & Social Media Assistant to brainstorm marketing ideas that work well for students interested in your major. This may include researching CSIS industry and career information that may help promote interests.

Qualifications:

  • Computer Science or Cybersecurity major.
  • Customer service, telemarketing or sales experience, and university admissions process preferred.
  • Knowledge of mathematical careers preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and communications skills.
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to work assigned/flexible hours necessary to complete the job on a weekly basis.
  • Internet savvy.
  • Familiar with Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Able to foster relationships with lead sources to increase prospective student interest for SUU Maths programs.
  • Demonstrate positive attitude, concern for students, excellent time management skills and the work ethic to follow-through on commitments to student leads and the school.
  • Able to accomplish work without considerable direction.
