Description:
SUU’s Marketing Communication Office is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our fun and fast-paced work environment as an internal communication assistant. This person will work directly with the content coordinator to help with internal communication to the campus community.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work both independently and on a team. This is an excellent opportunity for students to receive industry-relevant training in public relations and communication.
Job Responsibilities
Work closely with the content coordinator to provide a variety of internal communication to the campus community, including curating the weekly faculty and staff newsletter, maintaining mySUU portal announcements, and calendar organization.
Maintain SUU’s expert database and assist with writing expert spotlights and stories.
Conduct research and interviews with the campus community and write internal news stories to highlight the accomplishments of faculty and staff.
Build and maintain relationships with students, faculty, staff and the community.
Collect and evaluate analytics to help guide the internal communication strategy.
Qualifications:
Organizational skills are key, and the student must have the ability to multitask and prioritize high-level projects in a deadline-driven environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Basic knowledge of AP writing style
Familiar with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Attention to detail and dedication to quality
Organized, have the ability to prioritize tasks and projects
