Description:

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual to help support the mission and goals of our graduate program. The MPA Graduate Assistant will provide support through:

  • Various clerical duties
  • Communications
  • Development of marketing materials
  • Recruitment events
  • Overseeing and maintaining the MPA website and social media
  • Organizing student activities for the MPA honor society (Pi Alpha Alpha)
  • Helping to plan events
  • Taking minutes during meetings
  • Other related duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Current MPA student with minimum 3.7 GPA
  • Organizational skills to coordinate multiple projects at the same time
  • History of dependability, reliability, and initiative
  • Ability to effectively complete projects and work independently
  • Demonstrate computer knowledge in office software applications
  • Interpersonal skills to relate to a diverse group of constituents
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments and organizations across campus.
