Position Title: Intern #3 - EDA Build to Scale Venture Challenge - “Accelerating Innovators” Programs Today’s Date: December 15, 2022 Department: Business & Innovation Center (Innovation Center) Title of Supervisor: Director of EDA Build to Scale Venture Challenge - “Accelerating Innovators” Programs

Will directly report to Business & Innovation Center Manager

Status: Part-time (20 hours a week/40 weeks a year) - .385 FTE

General Summary

This intern position is best suited for a dynamic, energetic person who is eager to learn about the Innovation Center by assisting various departments. The position is a media position. The intern will be working closely with our team to assist in general Innovation Center media center processes, to promote the center through social and other media, capture data, attend meetings and trainings related to incubator and accelerator programs specifically. To be successful as an Intern, the person hired should be willing to help with any tasks assigned by a supervisor. The position will be involved in upcoming projects as well as assisting with current campaigns and programs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill tasks set out by supervisors from several departments
  • Attend meetings
  • Perform research at a supervisor's request
  • Update social media platforms and write copy for posts
  • Create images and videos to be used in marketing, social media, and other platforms
  • Provide general support to Innovation Center clients

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Eager to learn and work with various departments in the Innovation Center
  • Experience in digital design, content creation and marketing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multitask
  • Cope well under pressure
  • Education & Experience:
  • Enrolled in SUU or STECH student development program
  • Identifiable interest in entrepreneurial pursuits
