Description:

The Department of Physical Science has openings for Teaching Assistants/Graders for various courses in Chemistry. Potential candidates will work closely with and assist the instructor with some or all of the following:

  • Grading papers.
  • Teaching assistance.
  • Lab prep and/or lab demonstrations.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • May also be required to host group study sessions.

Multiple openings are available for chemistry lectures and labs on the Fall 2023 schedule. Your application will be made available to any Chemistry Faculty that has requested to hire a student for this position. They will contact you directly if they wish to interview you.

Qualifications:

  • Students must have successfully completed CHEM 1210/1215 and 1220/1225 (Principles of Chemistry I & II and respective labs) with a grade of "C" or better; or, as a TA for higher level courses, must have completed as a minimum, that specific course with a grade of "C" or better.
