Description:
Position Summary
This position supports the Graduate & Online Department’s organic lead generation and growth objectives by optimizing the search engine rankings for the department, academic programs, and other marketing initiatives in a way that conforms to established brand guidelines and produces results.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Manage and execute SEO activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on Google and Other major search networks.
2. Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
3. Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization, including for PPC ads
4. Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
5. Work with marketing team to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
6. Track, analyze, and report web analytics for SEO and digital advertising campaigns.
7. Engage in professional development opportunities to continue building a skill set to strengthen job performance and support career aspirations
8. Participate in traditional marketing activities as needed
9. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge Skills & Experience):
1. Student pursuing an undergraduate degree
2. Strong writing skills
3. Ability to understand and follow a brand guide
4. Good judgment regarding appropriate written and visual content for your audience
5. Familiarity with search engine optimization and best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with search engine optimization practices
2. Familiarity with how PPC ads, social media, and public relations support SEO
3. Ability to research and understand different audiences and relevant keywords
