Description:

The Leavitt School of Business Marketing Department is seeking student ambassadors for the Professional Sales program. A Professional Sales Ambassador is a unique position offered on campus and provides several opportunities for students to explore their leadership and service potential through an accelerated professional development program. Ambassadors serve in a variety of capacities and participate in sales activities unique to a college setting.

These duties and services include, but are not limited to, representing the college in outreach capacities, meeting and greeting campus visitors, participating in Professional Sales events and activities, assisting and working with Professional Sales partners in their sales initiatives, assisting prospective students interested in Professional Sales, and attending mandatory student leadership and training sessions.

Ambassadors must maintain a caring, service-oriented attitude with respect to the college and program objectives. This attitude is represented in a willingness to attend all program training sessions and serve in capacities deemed appropriate by the program Director. Continued academic progress toward each student’s goal is central to the philosophy of the Student Ambassador program. Students are encouraged to apply only if they believe the program and service commitment will enhance their educational goals without hindering academic progress.

Priority hiring will be given to those actively involved in the Professional Sales Program.

Qualifications:

  • Maintain a GPA of 3.2

  • Must be a student in good standing and not on Academic, Progress, or Disciplinary Probation
  • Must be able to attend all training and regular meetings
  • Be familiar with Excel, Word, and Google Suite

As a representative of Professional Sales, Ambassadors are expected to conduct themselves as campus leaders, exhibiting the behavior expected of a college representative. Students should exhibit a service-oriented attitude, provide excellent customer service, have a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, and a desire to pursue a sales related career. Additionally, personal grooming, attitude, habits, and speaking ability should be of the highest caliber.

Students will need to exhibit the following:
