Overview

The Facilities Management Assistant Intern will work alongside the Facility Manager and FMSS lead managing database information, project planning, contract design, and physical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain fleet records for service and budget. Create ME01 work orders and track utilization.
  • Develop strategy and SOP for excess property.
  • Maintain restrooms and waste disposal as available.
  • Maintain data in agency databases for fleet, energy, waste, projects, and budget.
  • Gain understanding and experience in the contract process.
  • Assist in master planning facilities projects and priorities. Develop funding requests for future projects through the Project Management Information System (PMIS), and track existing projects.
  • Review and update Hazard Communication Systems including GHS labeling, safety data sheets, and chemical inventory.
  • Develop and revise park operations manuals including opening (spring) procedures, closing procedures, water operations, wastewater operations, and cyclic maintenance planning.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with database management.
  • Be adaptable and maintain a positive outlook while working in an ever-changing environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently at times without immediate access to a mentor.
  • Ability to work well with diverse ages and backgrounds.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Pass a federal background check.
