Overview:

Currently, the BLM Cedar City Field Office (CCFO) has 1 Recreation Technician (Seasonal) positions available in the Cedar City Field Office. The CCFO is accepting resumes and transcripts for positions through the Intergovernmental Internship Cooperative through Southern Utah University (SUU).

Responsibilities:

• Collect Trafx Counter-(use data)

• Trail maintenance and construction

• Recreation facility maintenance

• Special Recreation Permit processing

• GIS

• GPS data collection and data management

• RMIS

• Conducting Wilderness Characteristics Inventory

Qualifications:

  1. Good communication and interpersonal skills

  2. Experience working in an outdoor setting

  3. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite

Applicants who possess these skills and who are pursuing a degree in fields related to Recreation or Natural Resource Management will be given the greatest consideration.
