Description:

Southern Utah University Health and Wellness Student Website Coordinator will report directly to the Assistant Director of Health & Wellness, and represent the Recreation and Wellness Department. The Student Website Coordinator (SWC) will support the Health & Wellness Center in its efforts to promote Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies, Healthy Relationships, and enhance the overall well-being and holistic health of our community by coordinating with mental health professionals in the community and updating the local website on the availability of professionals. The SWC will also provide assistance to the Health and Wellness Center by assisting students in locating the proper resources to address any health and wellness concern including; mental health, physical health, substance abuse, sexual health choices, and managing stress.

Job Responsibilities: Coordinate with local mental health providers on their weekly availability. Update local professional’s information and availability on the local website. Assist in research topics in attracting psychiatrists to Cedar City, partnerships with local doctors, and other needed topics. Assist in the promotion of Health & Wellness Center forming partnerships with other local professionals. Please submit a Cover Letter and Resume.

Qualifications:

  • Work up to but no more than 17 hours per week, greeting and directing people that come into the Health & Wellness Center.
  • Preference will be given to students with a major in psychology and those who have health & wellness experience and/or who would like to pursue a career in medical health, counseling, or a related field.
  • Excellent skills in facilitation, organization, and communication.
  • Demonstrate ability to assist students on a variety of holistic health and wellness issues.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relations with other campus and community resources.
  • Ability to work independently, follow-up on assignments, and take initiative.
