Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5, weekends and overnights as needed

Overview:

This position will work in developing natural resource literacy through citizen science repeat photography on the Dixie National Forest. This data will be used to address some of the monitoring for the IAP program and analysis of land cover changes will assist in identifying adaptation strategies. This will also be used in conservation education efforts for students, visitors, and community members

Responsibilities

  • Professional use of photography equipment

  • Knowledge of ArcGis and collector

  • Flexible schedule to accommodate travel and overnight duties

  • Establish connections

  • Train volunteers and work with partners

Qualifications:

  • Use of technology and data collection

  • Willingness to learn new skills and information

  • Solid communication skills working with several partners across the forest

  • Able to report findings in a professional manner
