Description:

The Utah Health Scholars program is looking for students to assist UHS staff with general teaching assistant/grading responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Grading assignment
  • Inputting grades and attendance
  • Assisting UHS Seminar Instructors as requested
  • Duties and workload will vary depending on the assigned instructor and seminar.

Qualifications:

  • Teacher Assistant/Graders must be current members of Utah Health Scholars, in their third or fourth year of college
  • Teacher Assistants must be enrolled as a current student at Southern Utah University
  • Teacher Assistants must be highly competitive applicants to graduate programs based on assessment and information from UHS staff members.
  • Teacher Assistants must be able to multitask and complete items without being asked to do so
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are a must
  • Teacher Assistants are hired at-will, indicating employment can be terminated at any time by a UHS staff member.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Must be able to follow directions from professors and /or supervisors Must be honest, presentable, and punctual Have experience in teaching assistance/grading is preferred
  • Knowledge of CANVAS and grading rubrics would be helpful

This position may be Work-Study eligible
