Description:

We are looking for tutors in various subjects: biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, math, economics, finance, accounting, general study skills, and more.

  • Tutors assist Southern Utah University students in the Tutoring and Study Lab in both small groups and one-on-one.
  • Tutors take walk-ins as well as appointments.
  • Tutors also facilitate study groups.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Major or minor in subject area to tutor.
  • Master of knowledge in the courses to tutor.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Patient.
  • Respectful.
  • Team player.
  • At least an overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Tutor training is provided and required.

Application Instructions:

Submit a SUU student job application, two faculty reference letters, and transcripts to Mona L. Taylor (ELC 204C). Interviews will take place starting in April through August. Will be hiring 2-3 tutors for summer semester and 35-40 tutors for fall semester.
