Numerous GIS internships are available through the IIC Internship Program.
These positions will start in October, include remote opportunities and onsite positions at different National Parks.
Postions are fulltime and the pay range is $18-22 an hour and vary in length.

Qualifications:
- A successful candidate will have a strong foundation in GIS and data management practices and proficiency using Esri desktop software and data manipulation geo-processes and tools.
- Knowledge of geodatabase design principles and experience with spatial data standards and metadata are preferred.
- This position requires attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to take initiative and work independently, while also being supported by subject matter experts as needed.
- Planned work will be conducted in a climate-controlled office or home office.
- Opportunities for field visits may become available and these field activities may take place in remote and rugged locations under a variety of weather conditions.
- Candidates should be generally comfortable working in such field environments.
- Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident and enrolled at an institution of higher education or within two years post graduate. Graduate students and recent graduates who are currently pursuing or have obtained a GIS degree/certificate and/or work experience in GIS are preferred. Prior to starting this position, a federal government security background clearance will be required
