Description:

  • Work with the Dixie L Leavitt School of Business Graduate programs Advising team.
  • Process auto enrollment for graduate students in their first semester.
  • Send welcome email following auto enrollment.
  • Update and maintain degree course maps and degreeworks templates.
  • Complete a semester course audit for registration.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Students will need to receive a FERPA training with Human Resources as well as a training with admissions on how to use the SLATE portal.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge Skills & Experience):

  • Proven self-motivation and organizational abilities to plan and independently execute projects/tasks within specific deadlines, and while exercising good judgment successfully assess, balance, and prioritize numerous competing concerns.
  • Ability to represent the Business Graduate Advising team to senior leaders of the university, current/prospective students, families, and the community.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills – excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills including proven effectiveness in speaking on a one-on-one basis.
  • Ability to diffuse frustrated students and remain calm in tense conversations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters level student.
  • Knowledgeable about the MBA, MAcc, MSBA, and Joint MBA / MAcc programs at SUU.
  • Experience in using Canvas, Banner, Degreeworks, Argos, Slate, Gmail, Google docs, etc.
