Description:

The Department of Filmmaking, Art & Design is seeking a diligent and customer-oriented individual to work in the Filmmaking Checkout Room. As a Checkout Room Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a productive and supportive environment for students needing the equipment and technology to complete projects. Your responsibilities will include caring for and maintaining equipment, communicating maintenance needs, assisting students with technical and equipment issues, keeping checkout room clean and organized, taking payments, and other tasks as needed. This is a part time, semester-long position with the option to return the following semester. Shifts may take place after hours on weekdays and occasionally on weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled SUU student taking at least 6 credits per semester
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all diverse students
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and (rarely) weekends as needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
