Description:

The College of Health Sciences (CoHS) Office Assistant provides administrative support to the CoHS Dean and Business Manager, handling tasks such as creating the college newsletter, event planning, running social media, and assisting with data entry. They also help with day-to-day operations and may greet visitors, perform basic clerical duties, and support staff with various projects. This role is ideal for students seeking to gain experience in office administration while balancing their academic commitments.

  • Office Administration: Assist CoHS Dean and Business Manager as needed.
  • Events: space setup, food & beverages, and clean up. Attend college events and take photos or video clips that can be used in social media posts or news stories.
  • Monitor & update web pages.
  • Create college brochures/fliers.
  • Run social media for the College of Health Sciences.
  • Compile and create a semester newsletter for the College of Health Sciences.
  • Compile and create the annual report for the College of Health Sciences.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Customer Service: ability to professionally work with various faculty, staff, and students.
  • Organization: collect data; store and retrieve documents; follow directions and complete tasks.
  • Office skills: MS Office, Google Suite, Canva, Adobe.
  • Graphic Design: experience in graphic design programs like Canva or Adobe Express.
  • Communication: the ability to professionally meet and communicate face-to-face; arrange online meetings; and follow up via written documents, email, and phone calls.
  • Experience in digital content creation and digital communication platforms.
  • Must be work-study eligible.
