Description:

This internship is part of the Summer 2025 Professional Internship Program. To be eligible for the program you must:

  • Be enrolled as an SUU student during the course of the internship.
  • Have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Be willing to work 10 to 20 hours per week.
  • Provide thoughtful responses in your application.

The Training Assistant supports the Employee Development Manager with staff and faculty trainings and events. Some responsibilities include:

  • Organizing trainings and meetings, including scheduling rooms, creating flyers and portal announcements, ordering food, ordering Swag, communicating with intended audience, other prep work, and creating surveys to review and adjust efforts.
  • Assist in development of training programs and materials.
  • Assist in planning department retreats and events.
  • Other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage event logistics
  • Interest in training, professional development, and event coordination
