Description:

The SUU Marketing Communication Office is seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our social media team. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, work independently and in a team, and the ability to write and create current, relevant content for social media channels, including X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook. Ideally, the candidate would be comfortable interviewing students and faculty on camera for short-form video content. This is an excellent opportunity for students to get hands-on experience while developing their communication and project management skills.

Job responsibilities:

  • Create content for various SUU social media channels.
  • Monitor specific social media channels.
  • Assist with building a content strategy.
  • Evaluate analytics to make data-driven decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and dedication to quality.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize high-level projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proactive self-starter.
  • Understanding of current social media trends.
  • Experience with graphic design and/or video production is a plus.
  • Comfortable or willing to grow as an on-screen personality.
