Overview

Forestry Technician to perform duties that could and may not be limited to: Recreation, Administration,Range, Wildlife and Timber Programs. This internship will give a good background to hands on natural resources management as it relates to these programs.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Trail work.
  • Cleaning Cxt's.
  • Maintenance work.
  • Timber management support.
  • Administrative support.
  • Interaction with the public.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Could flex depending on need and time of year.

Housing: No Housing Available.

Estimated START Date: Monday,July 7th, 2025.

Estimated END Date: TBD.

Location: Beaver, UT.

Qualifications:

Desired but not required:

  • Operate motor vehicles on unimproved surfaces.
  • Atv/ utv operation.
  • Ability to ride and handle horses in the back country.
  • Navigate manually and via GPS in the backcountry.
  • Operate hand tools to include chain saws, power tools, shovels, pick axe, rock bars, hand tools etc.
  • Be able to lift heavy loads, hike long distances, wear protective equipment, manage your time, be self -motivated, follow directions, log data, produce reports, interact in a crew setting and be flexible.
