Description:
The Aviation Maintenance Training (AMT) school is looking for three highly motivated individuals with the willingness to perform a wide array of jobs required at the lab locations of the AMT program. This position is a physically demanding job that will require the applicants to be familiar with maintenance and know their way around tools and machinery. Applicants will need transportation and be willing to travel between lab locations at the Cedar City Airport, Align Precision/Syberjet facility, and our AMT classroom and Lab building.
Responsibilities:
- Setup labs, trainers, and training aids in support of classes
- Perform scheduled maintenance on trainers, equipment, and aircraft in support of AMT classes
- Perform unscheduled maintenance on trainers, equipment, and aircraft in order to return assets to service quickly
- Perform ground handling and servicing duties on all aircraft in inventory
- Design and build mock-ups and training aids.
- Coordinate with other Lab Techs, Lab Aides, and Inventory Specialists daily to ensure tasks are completed
- Support a clean lab environment and aid with inventory/asset management
- Other duties as needed in support of AMT Program
Qualifications:
Preferred but not required qualifications:
- Aviation related field of study
- Experience with welding, carpentry, and machinery.
- Experience in aircraft maintenance
- Effective communication Skills with peers and supervision
- Able to work independently
