Description:
This position will work with engineers on the Forest to complete any of the projects assigned to the engineering group.
Things unique about this location/position
This forest participants with projects located in lower elevations desert terrain to the higher elevation mountain plateaus, providing the greatest of scenery while on the job. The forest covers 4 ranger districts (from the SW Utah/Nevada Border to the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument), covering nearly 2 million acres of public lands.
Schedule:
Part time during school year to match student schedule. Hours vary based on availability.
Four (4x)- 10 hour days during the summer months, typically Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities:
- Surveying.
- Sign installation.
- CAD drafting and preparing written specifications for projects.
- Scanning documents and organizing files.
- Working both in the field where walking/hiking across rugged terrain is possible and working in a typical office setting.
- Other duties will be assigned according to project descriptions.

Applicants who possess surveying and drafting skills and are pursuing a degree in fields related to engineering are given greatest consideration.
