Description:
This internship is part of the Summer 2026 Professional Internship Program. To be eligible for the program you must:
- Be enrolled as an SUU student during the course of the internship.
- Have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Be willing to work 10 to 20 hours per week.
- Provide thoughtful responses in your application.
Work in a laboratory setting on an active pharmaceutical chemistry research project, contributing to meaningful progress on a funded grant. Design and perform experiments aligned with selected core research competencies (e.g., experimental design, data analysis, lab techniques), with mentorship and guided training. Develop hands-on research skills while participating in a structured competency-based learning plan tailored to individual goals.
Qualifications:
- Junior or senior level student who has performed research in the past.
- Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to follow laboratory safety and research protocols.
- Interest in pharmaceutical or biomedical research and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
