Description:
The SUU Community & Workforce Development department is seeking a creative, motivated and detail-oriented individual to work with our team. This position will report to the Assistant Director of Marketing & Recruitment and assist with creating social media content and digital assets for the department as well as assist with different events. The candidate should be able to design and create content for online media, demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, create, and manage social media content across platforms, including posts, campaigns, and supporting visuals, while aligning messaging across email and limited print touchpoints such as flyers, postcards, and banners.
- Develop and maintain branded templates for social media, email, and marketing campaigns to ensure consistency, efficiency, and alignment across all communications.
- Assist with social media calendar development and story posting
- Provide overall support to the marketing and community event teams with other duties as assigned
- Attend classes and experiences to introduce instructors, take roll and bring supplies
- Administrative office duties as needed, including providing excellent customer service both in person and on the telephone
- Submit event listings as needed across multiple websites and calendars.
- Assist with social media inventory, development and planning.
- Schedule social media posts on multiple platforms.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work in person during the summer
- Must be proficient in graphic design and social media platforms
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail and dedication to quality work
- The ability to multitask and prioritize high-level projects in a deadline driven environment
- Willing to work occasional weekends and evening events
