This internship is part of the Fall 2026 Professional Internship Program. To be eligible for the program you must:

The psychology department is seeking an undergraduate student for the position of Professional Psychology Intern/teaching Assistant. This position requires a 15 to 20 hour/week commitment as the intern works with the faculty mentor in PSY3220 Adolescent Development and /or General Psychology 1010.

Responsibilities:

Include attending frequent lectures (TTH 10 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.), may include preparing and delivering several lectures throughout the semester from material provided, grading assignments, conducting in class activities with the instructor, leading group discussions based on the readings, holding office hours, and monitoring students' progress.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified applicants will have completed and excelled in PSY1010 and PSY2010.
  • A strong desire to help others in a teaching role is essential.
  • Preference is given to those who have completed PSY 3220 and are in their Junior/Senior year.
  • Be enrolled as an SUU student during the course of the internship.
  • Have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Be willing to work 10 to 20 hours per week.
  • Provide thoughtful responses in your application.
