Description:
SUU Aviation is looking for motivated, professionals to join our maintenance team. Successful applicants will be performing preventive maintenance and repair on our fleet of aircraft and ground support equipment. The Student Mechanic's job duties include but are not limited to:
- Performing routine inspections and troubleshooting, including airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems in accordance with the applicable FAA requirements and factory recommendations
- Coming to work prepared and willing to help our team be successful
- Removing and replacing defective parts and functional testing
- Utilizing all tools necessary to properly complete any required task
- Properly completing all required maintenance record entries in accordance with FAA regulations
- Accurately recording time worked on individual projects as required by SUU policy
- Maintaining a clean and neat work area adhering to all organizational policies and procedures
- Properly interpreting technical manuals, drawings, and blue prints
- Towing, parking, and cleaning aircraft
- Performing any other duties deemed necessary by the management team
Qualifications:
- A&P License preferred but not required
- Basic computer skills
- Basic communications skills
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to read and understand maintenance publications, blue prints, and wire diagrams
