Description:

The Aviation Magneto Repair / Ground Equipment Support Specialist job includes but is not limited to:

  • Perform a 500hr Inspection / Repair on all magneto's from both rotary and fixed wing aircraft
  • Sign off on all repaired magneto's (magneto training will be included in house)
  • Will inspect, support and repair all ground support equipment as needed.
  • Examples of keeping up GSE are but not limited to inspecting and or repairing golf carts, Kabota UTV , Sandblaster, Ladders, Air Compressors etc.
  • Complete all tasks as assigned by both the Logistics and Maintenance Managers, Inventory Manager in a safe and timely manner to ensure operational integrity.
  • Work is performed with some latitude for independent judgment but will be supervised by an immediate supervisor and is reviewed periodically to assure conformity with all departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Must be A&P Certified
  • At least 18 years of age Willing to work weekends and/or holidays if needed
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as required
  • Ability to stand or be on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work independently
  • People skills, organizational skills, and good written and oral communication skills required
  • General mechanical skills and knowledge
  • Experience using most power and hand tools correctly and in a safe manner
