Description:

The Department of Physical Science has openings for Teaching Assistants/Graders for various courses in Chemistry. Potential candidates will work closely with and assist the instructor with some or all of the following:

  • Grading papers.

  • Teaching assistance.

  • Lab prep and/or lab demonstrations.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

  • May also be required to host group study sessions.

  • Multiple openings are available for chemistry lectures and labs on the Fall 2024 schedule.

This announcement will establish a pool of applicants and by submitting your application it will be made available to any Chemistry Faculty that has requested to hire a student for this position. They will contact you directly if they wish to interview you.

Qualifications:

  • Students must have successfully completed CHEM 1210/1215 and 1220/1225 (Principles of Chemistry I & II and respective labs) with a grade of "C" or better; or, as a TA for higher level courses, must have completed as a minimum, that specific course with a grade of "C" or better.
