We are seeking a dedicated Farm Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in animal husbandry, crop production, and general farm management. As a Farm Intern, you will work closely with the Farm Manager to learn and assist with various tasks related to caring for livestock, producing hay, maintaining equipment, and implementing precision agriculture techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Work with the Farm Manager to learn Animal Husbandry over three species, Cattle, Sheep, Horses.
  • Daily Feed and Care of these animals. Some technology will be used with the animals.
  • Assist Farm Manager with Alfalfa Hay Production.
  • The intern will be introduced to GPS-driven precision agriculture techniques.
  • Maintaining irrigation systems.
  • Operating various farm equipment once you are fully trained and qualified to do so.
  • Put up & let down sheep fence at the SUU mountain ranch. Fence repair and new construction of fence lines.
  • The intern will be given an opportunity to learn to be organized and use time wisely to complete tasks on time or early.
